Dead Red Maggots

Dead Maggot's mainly known as dead reds. Something of a match anglers secret weapon.

Dead maggots still look the same to hungry fish but they don't burrow into the silt which can be a problem on commercial style waters, resulting in foul hooking. 

Deads are also fantastic for adding to ground bait as they won't break it up on its way to the bottom creating a lovely carpet with just a few loose offerings that won't crawl away.

They're also good for side hooking to create a slower more natural fall. Plus if your a fan of using the maggot clip for specimen fishing, you'll find dead maggots far easier to use.

Once defrosted keep chilled and dark, use as soon as possible.

Once on the bank tip your deads ina bait tub fill with just enough water to cover them. Try adding a little flavouring to the water for that extra boost!.
