My coarse fishing experience days are just that—a day out enjoying a spot of fishing and whiling away the hours. This is the perfect day out for novice anglers thinking about getting into the wonderful hobby of coarse fishing or for those who have just started out and after learning a little more.

Using an established fishing lake on the outskirts of Kegworth, we will spend the day fishing in beautiful surroundings for species like roach, rudd, bream, and the odd tench. We'll use traditional rod-and-line tactics, such as float or feeder fishing, or a mix of the two different styles. Fancy having a go at pole fishing?

Treating Yourself: Once you have purchased your experience day, you will receive a purchase confirmation. We will be in touch by email and will also send you all the relevant information in the post about how to book your day with Scott.

Treating Someone Else: If you are purchasing this as a gift, we will send you an Experience Day certificate in the post for you to give to the lucky person. (Don't forget to add their name in the comments box above). Within the certificate, they will find all the details to get in touch and arrange their day out with Scott.

Why not make a weekend of it with a loved one? The lake is situated right on the borders of Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, and Leicestershire, with easy access to stunning Derbyshire countryside and other places to visit. The Star Inn can make for a lovely break.

Your One-to-One Experience Day

Whether you are completely new to coarse fishing or an aspiring novice just looking for a little guidance, our day will be set up around your needs. We'll keep things simple and fun, catching a few fish along the way and enjoying the surroundings. We will have the opportunity to talk about tactics, techniques, and equipment to help you get the most out of your fishing after our day.

Bookings are flexible, so don't worry if we have to rearrange your chosen day due to poor weather; we will simply reschedule another date that suits you.

This experience day is aimed at those just starting out in fishing, through to novices. The lake is easily accessible from the M1, A50, and A42 and is open all year round, although the best fishing times are April to September.

• For just starting out to novice anglers 
• All equipment can be provided, but if you'd like to bring your own, please do. I always find it helps to learn using your own kit.
• All baits are provided.
• A day rod license can be arranged for you.

• Minimum age 18. Juniors are welcome; please contact us to discuss.
• Due to the nature of the venues, some may not be suitable for those with walking difficulties. At present, we cannot offer experience days for disabled anglers.
• Tickets are valid for 18 months from the date of purchase unless rescheduled due to adverse conditions, in which case the valid time will be extended.
