Our unprepared Tares are an all time classic hook bait during the summer months. Often fished along side Hemp, on the hook for Roach Dace and Chub.

Tip

You will need to prepare your Tares before using them, this is very easy to do. By far the easiest way is to presock them over night. Then brng them to the boil in a pan for around 30mins or until they are just soft enough to split with your finge nail.

To send your Tares black add a teaspoon of Bicarb while cooling. Note: the water can froth up quite quickly and over the flow the pan it the water is boiling. Also make sure you use and old pan at the chances are the pan will turn black.

While the Tares are cooling in the water add half a tablespoon of sugar pr pint of Tares.
