Secret
Secret is sweet smelling ground bait mostly aimed at Roach fishing, but you'll find Bream and Skimmers also love this groundbait.
Secret is a fairly fine mix that binds well, taking on a lot of water which will give it good weight to get it down to where you need it. With this in mind make sure you take your time mixing it, allowing it to stand before adding more water.
Perfect for medium to more pacey rivers, used neat or as part of a base mix that can be tailored to the conditions and species you're after.
Tactical Mixing
A classic combination is Secret and Supercup, an all around mix that is easy to tailor to different flow rates by varying the quantity of Secret to Supercup.
For roach and dace, blend Secret with Super Black for that classic aniseed and coriander scent they find irresistible.
The golden ratio: Start with 50/50 for most conditions. Increase Secret to 60% in pacey water for extra weight, or go 60% on your secondary mix in still water for a softer, more active bed.
An excellent mix for adding to others to stiffen them up.
