Special
Special is a very versatile ground bait from the Van den Eynde range. Basically it can be used by itself as a fine, cloud ground bait containing very little food value, or it can be added to any other groundbait to lighten the mixture.
Ideal for canals and lakes as you can create a slowly falling cloud, or by over-wetted it you can make a superb slop mix.

Special almost feels a little sand like when you mix it, taking on a surpricing amount of water. If using neat I don't tend to make it in to balls to feed through a pole pot, Prefering to pop some almost lose in the pot and cup it out. This creates a nice column of lose feed / smell throught the water, essential on a tough canal.
How I like to use Special As mentioned above when the going is tough and I want to create a nice carpet of smell up and down the far shelf on a canal. Or and old time classic is mixing Super cup and Special, the addition of super cup will give a little bit more binding to the mix thus slowing the break down, plus a liitle more feed content. A good canal mix for Skimmers.
Tactical Mixing
Winter finesse. Special is a very fine, light-coloured mix with almost zero food value—designed to attract through scent and cloud without feeding the fish.
Ideal for gin-clear canals: Over-wet Special to create a "slop" This creates a vertical cloud you fish through for anything that swims.
Carpet cloud: Blend Special with heavier baits like Secret or Supercup to control breakdown timing. Perfect for creating a fine carpet up and down the shelf.
Classic canal mix: Special combined with Supercup is a classic canal mix with a low-feed approach.
