An all time classic that has been around for years, many an angler will know the name 'Supercup'.

Possibly made famous in the Uk by Bob Nudd, Super cup is fine textured ground bait with a low feed content. With its sweet aroma fish like Roach, Rudd and Skimmers love it, Even Carp seem to like it to!

Being a light textured groundbait Super cup is perfect for fishing 'On the drop' especially on canals. Where a cloud effect in the water can be deadly on those clear water day's. Try a mix with a bit more water to achieve a sloppy consistency.

A very effective canal ground bait, Super Cup is also at home on many different venues like slow moving rivers and lakes up to around 8ft deep.  Two classic mixes with Super Cup for more pacey / deeper venues are to mix it with Turbo or Secret. 

How I like to use Super Cup.

As well as using Super Cup neat on slower waters like many canals and lakes I find you can also get Super Cup to work in quite deep water mixing it with Turbo and adding leam, squeezing hard into balls, These will sink quickly and then break down rapidly on the bottom creating a nice carpet of attraction with little feed value. You can add a small amount of loose feed if you wish but be mindful this could break the balls up on the way down. I'll often use a bait dropper over the top to introduce any loose feed.  For faster paced water try mixing 50/50 with Secret.

A favorite mix of mine on the canal for Skimmers is a 50/50 mix of Super Cup, Special and a touch of Brasem additive. With a light squeeze this mix will break up on the drop creating a nice cloud with little to no feed content, I'll add maybe a pinch of dead pinkies thats all.

Supercup and Turbo can work well on canals that tow.
